1. Amazon API only

At times, you may get a list of UPCs or EANs from your supplier or any other source. For this list, you need to find the ASINs currently selling on Amazon, and also their pricing attributes such BuyBox Price, Lowest FBA Price, Lowest NonFBA Price, Number Of Sellers selling the item, the Sales Ranks etc. so that you can pick the right items to sell on Amazon. Using Amazon API, ChannelMAX can get you this information that you can act on. We don't limit how many UPCs or EANs or Keywords, you can search, you can search a million, just that to need to search in a block of 50K. The speed of search is governed by Amazon Product API call limit, which is generally around 36K per hour.

2. Search ASIN UPC EAN Keyword

There 4 types of searches that you can do. Search by ASIN, or search by UPC or search by EAN or search by Keyword. The difference between UPC and EAN is subtle. UPC is 12 characters long, and EAN is 13 characters long. UPC is used in North America and EAN is used in Europe. While searching by UPC or EAN, a search may find multiple ASINs in Amazon. This is because, even with the best effort from Amazon, there are some duplicate ASINs in Amazon. You may want to list in all the ASINs for the same UPC or EAN. The Keyword search is rather complicated. If you search for 'Sony', Amazon will only return you just 10 ASINs, that is because, in one API call, Amazon's API is limited to return 10 ASINs, no more. However, there are ways to circumvent it. You need to find your keyword search, you may first find all the possible 'Sony' models, and then you search for the combination of manufacturer name and product model. You may further break does the search, say 'Sony DSC100 A', 'Sony DSC100 B' etc. The more granular the search is, the number of ASINs will be returned by Amazon will be more.

3. Bulk Search

For Bulk search, you need to follow the steps as outlined below. First of all you need to put your UPC or EANs or Keywords in an Excel. The name of the excel file must confirm to ChannelMAX standard, i.e. {channelmaxloginname}-{searchtype}-search.xls, where {channelmaxloginname} is your ChannelMAX login name and {searchtype} may be upc or ean or keyword or asin. For example, if your ChannelMAX login is 'demo001', and you want to search for ASIN, then the file name will be 'demo001-asin-search.xls'. The next step is to save this file as tab delimited text file, i.e. in our example, it will be 'demo001-asin-search.txt'. Finally, you need to use Windows compress utility to compress the file, resulting in the name 'demo001-asin-search.zip'. Then you need to upload the compressed file (i.e. end with .zip) to ChannelMAX for bulk search. Once search completes, you will be email notified. For UPC search, the first column heading must be named 'UPC', for ean search, the column heading must be 'EAN' and so on. You may also other columns such as SKU, Price etc. in the file, total of no more than 10 additional columns.

4. Export To Excel

Since the output or the resultant file is a tab delimited text file (.txt), the file could be easily opened in Excel or any other utility of your choice.
